Cynthia Hawk, M.Ed., LPC-S, MAC, MCBQS, Founder & Owner, is a Mental Health Counselor, National Master Addiction Counselor,

Certified by the Missouri Credentialing Board to train addiction counselors, a Certified Trauma Counselor, a License Professional Counselor Supervisor (train & supervise counselors), and student obtaining a PhD in Clinical Sexology .  She holds a Master of Education specializing in Guidance and Counseling & Community Agency Counseling. She also has degrees in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Liberal Studies. Cynthia's goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment, which nurtures therapeutic rapport and promotes the client’s positive change and growth. Her eclectic therapeutic approach is designed to fit the client’s individual needs.

Cynthia has years of educational and counseling experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Her professional work experience includes substance abuse and mental health therapy in community agencies and non-profit settings as well as educational assistance in a public environment. She is a speaker, facilitator, and has been featured in several media sources pertaining to her work as a licensed therapist. Cynthia is a member of the American Counseling Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Zonta, and several other organizations in the Jefferson City area which includes substance abuse and mental health crisis training for law enforcement. She also works with several agencies in the Columbia area to conduct addiction and mental health therapy and therapeutic supervised visitation as well as in Arizona. Her experience also includes addiction assessments, trauma, co-occurring, stress, grief, anxiety, mood disorders, and various types of relationships including polyamorous. Therapeutic modalities includes  Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and IBT. The community she works with consist of different sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.

Chrystala Smith, M.Ed., LPC, is a Mental Health Counselor and student obtaining a PhD in Counseling Education Supervision with emphasis area in trauma. She has experience with Higher Education Mental Health and Hospital setting Mental Health. She holds a Master of Education in Counseling, has experience as a Community Support Specialist Supervisor, Intensive Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist, an Evaluator specializing in diagnostic assessments, program evaluator, behavioral modification, substance abuse, treatment planning, suicide prevention, and crisis management in cultural diverse settings. She can assist clients with building autonomy, self-confidence, and life skills to promote wellness long-term.

She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, effective communication strategies, stress management, anger management, EMDR, and trained in seeking safety to assist with trauma-related experiences both individually and in a group setting. Chrystala's goal is to meet clients where they are by assisting them with exploring, learning, and developing healthy coping skills to promote stabilization long term.
