Cynthia Hawk, M.Ed., LPC-S, MAC, MCBQS, Founder & Owner, is a Mental Health Counselor, National Master Addiction Counselor,
Cynthia has years of educational and counseling experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Her professional work experience includes substance abuse and mental health therapy in community agencies and non-profit settings as well as educational assistance in a public environment. She is a speaker, facilitator, and has been featured in several media sources pertaining to her work as a licensed therapist. Cynthia is a member of the American Counseling Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Zonta, and several other organizations in the Jefferson City area which includes substance abuse and mental health crisis training for law enforcement. She also works with several agencies in the Columbia area to conduct addiction and mental health therapy and therapeutic supervised visitation as well as in Arizona. Her experience also includes addiction assessments, sexual differentiation within couples, trauma, co-occurring, stress, grief, anxiety, sex-positive, mood disorders, kink conscious, and various types of relationships including polyamory. Therapeutic modalities includes Brainspotting, EMDR, CBT, DBT, IBT, and Expressive Art Therapy (EXA). The community she works with consist of different sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.
